About Us
With over 40 years experience, Total EMC Products specialize in the field of EMC/RFI Evaluation and problem solving.
The company was founded by Mr Neil Harris, following successful positions as General Manager and head of EMC at Instelec Ltd, Phase Two Electronics Ltd and Steatite Limited.
During this time Neil has been responsible for departments specialising in all aspects of EMC and RFI work, Including both testing and solutions work.
Total EMC Products engineering capabilities and expertise, allows us to draw up on the knowledge of engineers with over 40 years experience in the field of EMC, thus giving one of the most in-depth and experienced engineering teams in the country.
Total EMC Products Ltd is effectively split in to two divisions - EMC/RFI Evaluation and EMC/RFI Product Solutions.
The EMC/RFI Evaluation division of the company specialises in Pre-compliance testing, evaluation, consultancy and design development - with the basic philosophy of helping the client to the most cost effective route to compliance.

What We Do
Our comprehensive Pre-Compliance testing service has been developed to help designers, manufacturers and distributors, comply with the relevant international EMC performance standards. With over 40 years experience in EMC and RFI solutions, our engineers are able to offer a custom tailored, interactive service where guidance on design and component selection is available at all stages. Following accurate test measurement detailed performance reporting and comprehensive recommendations, the client is able to take the most efficient and commercially effective route to compliance.
To complement the pre-compliance testing service,Total EMC Products call upon its EMC/RFI Product Solutions, where we design and manufacture a wide range of filtration product from 1A to 3000A, in standard or custom formats to suit the Industrial, Commercial, Military and Aerospace market places. These include inductors and chokes, power capacitors, IEC inlet filters, chassis mount filters, motor drive filters through to high performance powerline filters.
As well as the commercial market place Total EMC Products are heavily involved with Military projects and the Aerospace Industry. Due to the complexities and rigorous standards that these market sectors demand, we are ideally suited to working with and developing partnerships with companies involved within these particular sectors.
Typical work within these environments allows us to work on projects from their initial conception, through to maturity, thus allowing EMC issues to be looked at and dealt with from the very outset of a project.
Total EMC Products can offer a full range of services covering this type of work. This includes design and development work, consultancy, pre-compliance testing and evaluation through to full compliance testing (carried out in conjunction with a NAMAS accredited test facility) as well as the formation of technical construction files. For military projects this is normally carried out with QinetiQ at Farnborough (formally DERA), with whom we are now classed as research and design partners.
Volume be-spoke custom product can also be produced to your specification. Our technical engineering team can advise on product suitability and selection for specialist applications.
